Week 3 EOC: Ethics In Tobacco

·  1. Determine the scenario: What happens in this frame? Babe Ruth is in his signature post-wing stance as the lighting puts his right at the center of attention. Then the consumer is drawn to the text around him, claiming smoothness and a quote from the man himself.
·  2. What is the setting? What are the conditions? The background is very cool and fluid which contrasts from the product image and the brand name.
·  3. Who are the people or groups? A very well loved baseball player.
·  4. What is their point of view around this specific experience? Babe Ruth is one of the most watched and admired men of the time, having been in the spotlight, anything he claims is going to leave an impact.
·  5. What are their goals? To get male sports fans to buy their tobacco.
·  6. What are their assumptions? If Babe Ruth uses this product, it must be the best and the one for me.
·  7. Are there conflicts? Is there cooperation? The colors used within the ad contrast drastically yet the way they emphasize the brand seems to work as a whole piece.
·  8. What are the outcomes? Men buy this tobacco because they honor the opinion and look up to Babe Ruth.
